Hah! A thoroughly enjoyable article! Let me tell you why: 1) Michael Moore is a sensationalist who would much rather use the very fear he decries (in bowling for columbine, especially) than deal in fact; 2) Holding the Canadian model up as the paragon of health care is laughable at best. I am a Canadian, living in Canada. I love my country dearly, and there are a lot of ways in which our system is really beneficial. There are also long lines to wait, and no guarantee of anything, really. We have way cheaper medication, that is true.
I don't know that I would prefer the American model to the Canadian model, as there's just something about NEEDING insurance that strikes me as somehow wrong. I like the Australian model, though, which is something of a hybrid between the two. If you have insurance, you get special privileges (private room, more hospital choices, etc), whereas if you do not, your choices are more limited, but you're still given quality health care.
Stupid Michael Moore. I'm glad he's an American, because I'd hate to call him a fellow Canadian. You can keep him.
